This article is about a popular Japanese cuisine, Sushi, made in Seattle, and why we think it’s a great thing to eat. Sushi is a dish made of rice as the main element. Fresh seafood, especially raw fish, is the other common ingredient. It is a delicacy consisting of two ingredients; Shari and Neta.

Shari refers to cooked rice seasoned with sweet-wine vinegar while Neta is a reference to other ingredients that are normally combined with Shari to make a nutritious dish of Sushi. It is a healthy diet because all the ingredients used to prepare this food are low in fat and carbohydrates but rich in proteins and vitamins.

Sushi came from China and it was introduced into Japan in the 7th century. In the 7th century there were no refrigerators and fishermen needed to preserve fish. They had rice and there was water. They knew that if you put rice in water it would ferment and if you added salt into this mixture you could have a home made preservative. From this mixture, Sushi was discovered and they started preserving fish using fermented rice. Sushi combined with raw fish was born as a Japanese delicacy.

Sushi in America:
Sushi was introduced into America from Japan a decade after the Second World War. Its popularity has since rapidly grown worldwide inclusive of America. You can be sure to find a pretty good standard Sushi restaurant or bar across America today. There is no wonder that Sushi is in Seattle too.

According to Sushi Seattle, a blog that provides the latest information on specials and events, there are many restaurants and bars that meet decent standards in Seattle. Seattle restaurants will be happy to serve you fresh and delicious sushi and Japanese cuisine. Chefs import some ingredients from Japan although most restaurants have developed their own Seattle Sushi popular recipes.
American chefs are indeed adding new cultural ideas to the traditional Japanese sushi making. American made sushi is in fact becoming popular not only in America but in Japan as well.

Health Benefits of Eating Seattle Sushi:
Sushi made in Seattle is light and nutrients-rich. It is one of the best foods to incorporate into a healthy diet because it’s made of fresh seafood, rice and vegetables. The food contains trace minerals, enzymes, omega-fatty acids, and a few amounts of calories. Components of Sushi are all heart-healthy and nutrients-rich. With a properly prepared diet you wouldn’t expect to gain weight while eating sushi because it is dietary regime made up of low calorie foods.

While Soy Sauce is the most important seasoning element, the importance of rice in sushi can’t be underestimated. Rice is the primary ingredient in this staple Japanese food. Sticky consistent rice creates the perfect dish and when raw fish, vinegar and fresh vegetables are added in the mix, it becomes the world famous finger licking meal that so many people want to have in Seattle.
Japanese short-grained white rice is the standard bearer and it is every chef’s choice because it contains the right amount of starch needed to make it sticky and glossy once cooked.

======================

1) Gunkan – one of my favorite sushi.
Simple Gunkan, spicy Gunkan baked Gunkan – all delicious!

When I was a student we sdruzyami clockwise went into a sushi bar after graduation. I really liked the rolls. I just always bought them. And one of my friends for a single day did not pass without gukanov. I decided to try it. After that I had to learn to cook them yourself:) Believe me – it is not very difficult. I can give you the recipe for their preparation:

1. Cook rice for sushi
2. Making patties of rice desired size (you can do more, but I’d prefer that they all placed in the mouth)
3. Cut the nori into strips three inches (can be wider if you want more, but I just I cut in strips)
4. Cutlet wrap in nori and a pair of anchoring risinok.
5. Add the stuffing (you can use any – or until the cucumber caviar, and I like tuna and salmon). This time I used almost everything that was in the fridge, except sausages, such as: salmon, tuna, crab meat, shrimp, eel.
6. Decorate cucumber and serve guests or yourself loved!

2) unagi maki Baked
Unagi maki (eel roll with plain) by itself is very tasty roll.

Generally, the baked rolls I “hooked” long and make them almost every time I prepare sushi. I do not know exactly what they baked in the restaurant, and I use this microwave oven with grill. Someone manages to bake and the oven. So, the recipe for baked unagi maki:

1. Cook rice as usual for the right home technology
2. Making the usual thin roll with eel. That is, at the half we put the nori rice, a little sesame add, plus it will not. Then we turn and eel.
3. Now roll cut into 6-8 pieces. We usually make eight pieces, so it is more convenient to eat later, because the top will still be “cap” of the sauce for baking.
4. Prepare the sauce for baking. We all have different recipes, we make the usual spicy sauce and add to it “Philadelphia” cheese and imitation crabmeat (or shrimp, or salmon, or the same eel).
5. In a microwave dish to put our roll-top barrels and make them the “cap” of the cooked sauce.
6. Put under the grill for 7 minutes.
7. Baked unagi maki ready! If you have unagi sauce, pour necessary. We eat with soy sauce and wasabi:)

3) Lava maki with salmon
Oh, I love Roll “lava”. Delicate scallop flavor – it’s something. All those who have not tried this roll, I highly recommend or order or do it yourself, do not regret it:)

Here’s a quick recipe:

1. We need the rice for sushi
2. half of the nori
3. nori on rice
4. to distribute the rice with his hands Masago caviar
5. overturn
6. now filling: cheese, salmon, avocado
7. wrapped and cut into 6 pieces
8. to lay out each piece on top dressing “Lava”
9. We eat ourselves and entertained friends, they will tell you very much, thank you very much))

Bon Appetit!
